SuSE Linux 8.0 Professional - I have been using SuSE Linux 7.3 for some time, and have been quite impressed with its functionality. It's stability is orders of magnitude better than ANYTHING Microsoft has ever developed.

Sun StarOffice 6.0 - The updated version of StarOffice, which by almost all reports is fantastic. I was not very satisfied with 5.2, and have been using OpenOffice for some time (which is great). The main limitation of OpenOffice in my opinion has been the lack of a relational database program - which StarOffice has incorporated.
